Word of the Day--Detention

It wasn't exactly the call that I expected when I pulled up to the garage that afternoon. Detention? Who had ever heard of detention for someone NOT enrolled in school?

I can think of a few instances where I could use this. Maybe in a story revolving around a secret agent or a wanderer who just came into town. Perhaps a parent is getting a call about one of their children. Time will tell....

I've at last decided to just make this a blog for random musings and one-off writings. Perhaps little snippets of inspiration will hit me throughout the day and I'll post them here for possible use in a piece of writing.

Most of my entries will likely be thanks to a site called oneword.com. Just a little "word of the day" and nothing else to go on, to keep my writing muscle exercised.
